Our caring doctors:

Dr. Stephanie Dean
Dr. Dean graduated with distinction from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 1997. Originally from Oxford, Ohio, and a 1993 graduate and varsity athelete of Miami University (Go, Redhawks!), she moved to Westlake shortly after vet school when she married her husband Scott. Together, they have three young children, a "World's Best" kitty named Oliver, and one very large and equally sweet English Mastiff, Legend. She is a self-proclaimed "foodie" and enjoys gourmet cooking, especially for friends. She has dedicated herself to providing the very best veterinary care through client education and delivering excellence with compassion. Her special areas of interest include dentistry, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She has completed accreditation in Veterinary Acupuncture at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and finds that adding an Eastern perspective to her traditional Western training provides another level of patient evaluation and additional, exciting options for patient care.

Dr. Cathryne Wittlinger
Dr. Wittlinger graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She completed her undergraduate work at Kenyon College, where she majored in mathematics. She is married to her highschool sweetheart and has three beautiful children. They have a cat named "Coleman" who, she admits, is not the most willing participant when it comes to having his nails trimmed or his monthly heartworm and flea prevention applied! They are looking forward to adding a new puppy to the family next spring.
She comes to the Happy Pet team after spending time in both private practice and emergency service. Her time spent providing emergency care has been instrumental in developing her skills, but she is excited to be part of the Happy Pet practice where she can develop long-term relationships with the pets and their owners. Dr. Wittlinger believes in complete medical care, delivered with compassion and respect. Her goal is to work with clients to educate and empower them to provide their pets with a healthy, high quality life.
